Capture a website screenshot with GET
See what an isolated browser renders at a public URL.
How it works
The screenshot endpoint returns a completed capture record with an image URL, page title, byte count, and timestamps. Add output=image to receive the PNG directly.
Set viewport width and height, a brief wait, or full_page=true. The browser has no access to your cookies or authentication headers.
Anyone with a screenshot's random image URL can retrieve it for 24 hours. Avoid submitting private pages or secrets.
Quick start
Public API calls use HTTPS GET. This example uses curl to encode query values. Run creation and relay requests deliberately; they can change state.
curl --get 'https://pageframekit.com/v1/screenshot' \
--data-urlencode 'url=https://example.com'Request parameters
| Parameter | What it does |
|---|---|
url | Required public HTTPS page URL. |
width / height | Viewport in pixels; defaults to 1280 by 900. |
full_page | Capture the whole page by default. |
output | json by default; image returns PNG bytes directly. |
Response
JSON includes status, title, expires_at, metadata_url, and image_url. Fetch image_url with another GET before it expires.
Complete the flow
The default JSON response includes metadata_url and image_url. Make another GET to image_url for the PNG before expires_at, or set output=image on the first request for PNG bytes directly.
