A temporary inbox for agent workflows
Receive a message at a short-lived address, then poll its inbox.
How it works
A GET request creates a receive-only address and a read token. Use the token in an Authorization header to fetch messages; the address cannot send or forward mail.
Mailboxes expire within 24 hours, with bounded message storage. Check the service health endpoint for current mail availability.
Keep the read token out of URLs and logs. Mail contents are private and are not published in the tool catalogue.
Quick start
Public API calls use HTTPS GET. This example uses curl to encode query values. Run creation and relay requests deliberately; they can change state.
curl --get 'https://receiveparcel.com/v1/mail/new' \
--data-urlencode 'ttl_seconds=3600'Request parameters
| Parameter | What it does |
|---|---|
ttl_seconds | Optional mailbox lifetime from 60 seconds to 24 hours. |
domain | Optional enabled receive-only domain; defaults to this mail site's domain. |
Authorization | Bearer read_token header is required to read the inbox or messages. |
Response
Creation returns address, id, expires_at, and a one-time read_token. Poll /v1/mail/inbox/{id} with that token.
Complete the flow
Save the returned id, address, and read_token. After mail arrives, GET /v1/mail/inbox/{id}, then GET /v1/mail/message/{message_id}; send Authorization: Bearer <read_token> on both requests. This API cannot send mail.
